Don and I went to London for Spring Break. It was nice to go on a trip together where Don also didn't have to be going to a conference in furtherance of his professorial career. :-) We had a great time, although it was very cold, and we were bundled up every day. We went to see all the highlights of London itself, and we saw three musicals, Billy Elliot, Wicked, and Chicago. Billy Elliot was my favorite and I think Don liked Wicked the most. Here you will see a jet lagged Kate (very exciting, right? :-)) and some of the interior of the Grosevnor hotel. I didn't take a picture of the entry which was very grand, but the staircases give you an idea. There were many bad reviews of this hotel, but we loved it--probably because we got a refurbished room which was bigger. Billy Elliot and Wicked were within walking distance. This hotel is right above Victoria station and easy access to the Underground-great for sight seeing trips. The first day we arrived was sunny. This was the only truly sunny day--except for the day we left ha!!
